Why should I buy compatible optical transceivers rather than the branded versions?
The main reason to choose a compatible transceiver over a branded version is, of course, cost. Flow Optics compatible transceivers are a fraction of the price of branded transceivers but maintain the same performance and reliability, and since all our compatible optical transceivers conform to the multi-source agreement existing hardware warranties for the host devices are not affected. With Flow Optics compatible optical transceivers there is also greater choice than what is offered by branded transceivers so you can select a transceiver that is more appropriate to your needs. Flow Optics can even tailor the compatible transceiver to your individual requirements and should you choose to change your host devices we can, in most cases, adapt your existing compatible transceivers to work with your new hardware.

Do you store personal information?
Yes. Your personal information is securely stored in our Ecommerce database with the same SSL 128-bit encryption. You have the option to make this information available for future orders when logging in, so that you do not have to type it again when you come back and shop from us. We do not in any way share this information. No credit or debit card details are stored on our site.

How do I pay for my order?
You can pay for your order online via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to make payments, just select the "Don't have a PayPal Account?" option. Please note that when purchasing your items you are taken to their 3D secure (Visa Verified, MasterCard SecureCode) online page where you enter your credit/debit card details. At no point does Flow Optics have access to, or stores, credit/debit card details. You can also call us on 0844 414 8091 to process your order over the phone. What are your delivery costs and delivery times?
All orders to UK mainland destinations are dispatched via Royal Mail recorded delivery at a standard fee of £8.00 plus VAT. For orders exceeding £200 an option for free delivery will be offered during checkout. Please allow 3-5 working days to receive your order.

Can I check the status of my order?
Yes. When your order has been accepted you will receive an email confirmation. You can then check the status of your order by logging in to our site and selecting the 'Order Status' link. If a tracking number has been assigned, this too can be checked.

I forgot my account password. How do I retrieve it?
If you forgot your password, you can retrieve it by clicking on the Forgot Password link on the Order Status page or during the checkout process while placing a new order.

What is your return policy?

What standard warranties do you offer?
We offer a standard 5 year replacement warranty on all our products. As long as the product in question has not been misused or mishandled in any way we will be happy to replace it free of charge. On the fibre optic transceivers we offer a limited lifetime replacement warranty. As long as the product in question has not been misused or mishandled in any way we will be happy to replace it free of charge, up to 5 years after the OEM (e.g. cisco, brocade, etc.) announces end of life for the relevant product. 

Do you sell used products?
No. All our products are brand new.
